RICHMOND – John Adams, the Republican nominee for attorney general, issued the following statement today regarding Mark Herring joining a lawsuit against President Trump’s action on DACA:
"It's not surprising that Mark Herring would join a lawsuit to try to keep something that was a clear executive overreach by President Obama. Just because Congress does not act, this does not allow a President – and certainly not a state attorney general – to act without authority. This is an issue that requires Congressional action. Mark Herring once again is willing to do anything to advance his political agenda – in this case in-state slots and tuition for illegal aliens at our colleges and universities."
