Morton Blackwell joins growing list of GOP leaders and conservatives to endorse John Adams

Following last week's release of over 50 Republican leaders across the Commonwealth, the John Adams campaign released another round of endorsements earlier today.  Virginia's longtime Republican National Committeeman, Morton Blackwell, joins other Republican Party leaders, including unit chairs, State Central members, and grassroots conservatives across Virginia, in endorsing Adams' bid to defeat Mark Herring in 2017.

The list also includes elected officials at the state and local level, including the two highest ranking Republicans in the General Assembly—Speaker of the House William Howell and Senate Majority Leader Tommy Norment.

The latest round of endorsements is further indication that the Adams campaign has consolidated strong support among conservatives across Virginia.  "One thing I've learned over the past ten months is that Virginians are ready for a change in Richmond," Adams stated. "For the last three years, Mark Herring has put his own political agenda ahead of the actual laws of the Commonwealth.  I am humbled by these endorsements, and I believe they reflect a recognition that we have built a campaign capable of defeating Herring and restoring the Attorney General's Office to its rightful place in Virginia's government."
